Are you ready to do life differently?

I’M LISA BRACKEN

Women’s health specialist, co-host/co-creator of the Live Your Age podcast, and yoga therapist. I’m passionate about real food, rescue dogs, and red pumps. You know what else amps me up? Centuries-old wisdom applied to modern health and wellness. It’s fair to say I get pretty excited when current science validates (again!) holistic remedies from 4,000 years ago.

If you’re here, then you’re seeking relief from something – menopausal symptoms or hormonal changes, the effects of aging or weight gain, toxicity or cravings, lack of energy or lack of sleep. Hot flashes and/or night sweats. Adrenal overdrive or adrenal fatigue. Running on empty or running on adrenaline. Or any one of the five F’s: frazzled, frumpy, frigid, forgetful, or foggy. Wherever you are on your pilgrimage toward better wellbeing, I can relate AND I have your back.

I’VE. BEEN. THERE. I combine a lifetime (or three) of personal experiences and decades of professional studies in Functional, Integrative, & Ayurvedic medicines to bring your body back to a state of balance and harmony. I know first-hand that when you are ready and willing to do life differently, the sweet and simple magic that these practices bring – free of pharmaceuticals – is nothing short of life changing. I know this – I’ve seen it happen for countless clients, and I’ve done me “mesearch” using my own body and mind as my practice field.

A little TMI about me… (cue the sad music)

Pivotal moment #1: 30 years ago I severed my relationship with toxic addictions that were killing me. Fortunately, in the midst of yet another very brutal night of crushing my body, mind, and soul, I heard it. You know… the voice. “Lisa, you can do better than this. It will get better if you let it.” Needless to say, there’s much more to this story and if you’re curious, I’m happy to share.

Pivotal moment #2: 20 years ago I broke my back and faced a future of chronic pain, limited mobility, and extremely poor posture. I was only 30 years old and remember the moment it hit me – I’d just gotten out of bed and I couldn’t stand up straight – “I can’t live like this!” Given the choice of masking my symptoms with pharmaceuticals for the rest of my life OR learning how to rebuild myself through movement and yoga therapy, guess which one I opted for?

These two pivotal moments–and trust me, there are many more–fuel my passion for helping you pursue whole body/mind/spirit health. At both of these points in my life, I knew I couldn’t change my patterns by myself–I was in way too deep. I had to have help. Why, on that particular night, did I hear the voice? I’ve asked myself this question a gazillion times. I’ll never know, but what I do know is that when you’re ready, you’re ready.

The demolition and deconstruction of me, by me, allowed me to rebuild myself deliberately and, might I say, majestically. I’ve had the “aha” moments. Lots of them. And I can help you do the same–if you’re ready.

As a Women’s Health Specialist and Clinical Ayurvedic Practitioner, I use nutritional and lifestyle interventions, botanical and dietary supplements where necessary, and the tools of therapeutic yoga to help  women feel better – particularly in the areas of digestive, hormonal, sexual, and mental health. I’m a Certified Yoga Therapist, have a master’s degree in Kinesiology, and am a Professional Member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). I have logged thousands of hours training, teaching, and practicing in Ayurveda, Integrative & Functional medicine, herbal medicine, anatomy, physiology, therapeutic applications, Sanskrit, meditation, and philosophy. (I’m a nerd. I own it.)
